SUMMER 2024

Summer Dining

Have coffee and some of the best egg sandwiches anywhere on the patio at the Bartlett house in Ghent. Not to mention do die for pastries and coffee.

Swimming in Nature

There is nothing like a dip in a stream or a pond on a hot summers day. There are some pretty amazing places to swim in the country. See our list here.

The perfect Sunday morning, stretch your legs and your mind at art OMI, miles of trails with sculpture and architecture inspired art. They have a nice cafe and indoor gallery space.

Bimi’s Canteen & Bar in Chatham

A farmer, a Michelin-starred chef, and a fireman walk into a bar. There’s no punchline; this was part of an actual scene during the opening week at Chatham’s new dining hot spot, Bimi’s Canteen and Bar. And it’s the exact type of community commingling the owners were hoping for when they opened in early June.

“We’re a Hudson Valley restaurant,” says Ellen Waggett, who runs Bimi’s with her husband Christopher Landy. “By that I mean we serve food with locally sourced ingredients, as much as possible, to the eclectic community we’re in—from first responders, to business owners, to local celebrities.”
